My life has changed course- once again. I am leaving Cambodia, my world, my people, my home, to find answers in the world, people, and homes of where I come from. I am moving to India to begin a journey; teaching, learning, being, and understanding those who carry the weight of the world on their shoulders.
Millee (Mobile and Immersive Learning for Literacy in Emerging Economies) is the culmination of what makes me who I am: technology, education, children, India. I am embarking upon a journey into the most trying and most rewarding parts of the world, and I am elated.
This is what I have been waiting for, this is what I have been searching for. Millee has the power to make change in the lives of children, people, humans who otherwise would not be afforded the chance at breaking the cycle of poverty. Millee allows everyone an equal education, no matter your caste, no matter your status, no matter your income, no matter your life.
Nokia’s belief in Millee not only solidifies my zealousness but truly gives me hope in the greatness we can achieve if we work together to bring the base of the pyramid’s people out of poverty, starvation, sickness, and undereducation.
